Because the IMS Update ran overtime, Jack did not have time to discuss the latest news from the SC36 ISO subcommittee on Learning Education and Training. This subject will be covered in the next AICC meeting in Mumbai.
What he presented were two areas where the AICC and the IMS might benefit from a cooperative venture – Simplifying Simple Sequencing, and completing an Offline CMI Specification. It was decided by those in attendance that the AICC should not spend its resources working on Simple Sequencing, though the AICC may send some use cases to the IMS to consider. However, the AICC will provide the IMS with information on the current status of the Offline CMI specification, and invite IMS members to participate in its further development if there is an interest.
